Mitch McClure Speaks On God's Model For The Family Sunday

  • Tuesday, June 4, 2013

Middle Valley Church of God, at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, has adopted the theme, "I Am Coming Out Of The Closet," for the month of June.  Pastor Mitch McClure explained, "I shall be preaching specially developed sermons each week in June.  The church has to evaluate what it teaches and preaches according to the Bible, God's Word.  It cannot be controlled by opinion polls and the changing community standards.  Each week I shall preach on highly important doctrinal issues that are being challenged today."

Pastor McClure will speak on the topic, "I Believe In God's Model Of The Family" in the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. This message will focus on the Biblical pattern of marriage which God designed and God demands today.  The church is participating in the Pulpit Freedom Sunday event sponsored by Alliance Defending Freedom Pulpit Initiative.

Pastor McClure will lead the church in a time of prayer and Bible reading in the 6:30 p.m. service on Sunday.  The church is participating in the READ Bible Reading Initiative of the Church of God.

Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. classes are made available for all age groupings.  Pastor McClure is presently leading a Bible study called, "Are You An Atheist?" each Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Sunday School is available each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all age groupings.

Middle Valley Church of God has established a 24-hour prayer line.  The 24-hour telephone number is 423.843.1539 and is available for confidential prayer requests.  Each request received will be included in prayer ministry of the church.

Middle Valley Church of God was founded in 1946 and has served the Middle Valley community from the same location concentrating on community ministry with various ministry partnerships.  For additional information, contact Pastor McClure at 843-1539.  Pastor McClure can also be followed on Facebook and Twitter (@McClure1Mitch).
