Virgle "Shrimp" Williams, 95, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, died on Thursday, July 17, 2013 at his home.
He was born on May 12, 1918 in Nashville.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Naomi Williams; parents, Jim and Maggie Byrd Williams, son, Steve Williams, two sisters and two brothers.
Virgle is survived by his son, Michael (Linda) Williams; daughter, Debby Champagne; grandson, Matthew Williams; granddaughter, Lindsey Stewart, and two great-granddaughters.
He was a member of the North Hamilton Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 20, from 1-3 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with David V. Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
