Erlanger Offers Classes And Events For Sept. 30 & Oct. 3

The Erlanger schedule of classes and events for Sept. 30 and Oct, 3 includes family planning classes and diabetes education.  Registration is required.  For more information on our classes and events, call Erlanger HealthLink at 778-LINK (5465), seven days a week from 8 a.m. until midnight  HealthLink Plus is a free membership program open to adults 18 and older.

Bariatric Support Group
5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Erlanger Chattanooga Lifestyle Center
Bariatric Support Group meetings are for individuals scheduled to have Bariatric surgery or who have already had weight loss surgery.  Call Erlanger’s HealthLink at 778-LINK (5465) for more information. 

Thursday, October 3

Infant CPR Class
10:00 – 11:15 a.m.
Erlanger East Campus (Gunbarrel Road)
This one-hour class teaches basic CPR for an infant (birth to 1 year of age).  Class time includes infant safety instructions and hands-on practice of CPR and choking management techniques for an infant.  Anyone is welcome to take this class including parents, grandparents and babysitters.  Registration fee is $25.  Call Erlanger’s HealthLink at 778-LINK (5465) to register.  

Diabetes Education Class
1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Erlanger Chattanooga Lifestyle Center
This class will explore ways to manage diabetes.  Call 778-9400 for more information on physician referral and insurance reimbursement. 

Man to Man Support Group
Begins at 5:30 p.m.
Erlanger Baroness
This support group is for spouses, friends and patients who have prostate cancer.  For more information, call 855-2778

Mark Kimball, FACHE, has been named chief executive officer of Erlanger Murphy Medical Center, based in Murphy, N.C.  The announcement was made this week by Kevin M. Dayton Teen Arrested After Running From Deputies On Highway 60; Passenger Caught With Drugs

Hamilton County Sheriff deputies caught up with a Dayton teen who drove off at a high rate of speed on Highway 60 on Sunday afternoon. A passenger in the vehicle was caught with drugs. Teachers Have Good Compensation Compared To Other Taxpayers - And Response

Hamilton County experienced a property tax increase of about 10.7 percent in 2017. By law the reappraisal of property shall not increase tax revenue. So after the reappraisal the state certified millage rate for Hamilton County was 2.4976 per hundred dollars assessed value.
