Elizabeth Hodge
Elizabeth “Lib” Hickman Hodge, 69, of Bakewell, died on Monday, October 13, 2014, at her home.
She was a member of the Sale Creek Church of God. Lib was famous for her fried pies and loved to fish. She was a very caring mother and loved her dog “Lucky”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Hodge; parents, Charles and Ida Mae Hickman and brother, Bill Hickman.
Survivors include her daughters, Sally (Tracy) Hodge and Ruby (Nathan) White ,both of Bakewell; son, William (Teresa) Dennis of Dayton; stepson, Luther Ray (Betty) Hodge of Florida; special friend, Jill Cooper; sister, Toodie St. Julian of Ohio; sister-in-law, Mildred “T-tot” Hodge; grandchildren, Logan White, Kimberly Dennis and Myleigh Dill, step-grandchildren, Erica Armstrong and DeWayne (Amber) Hodge, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery.
Visitation is on Tuesday, from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 12-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
