First Baptist Fort Oglethorpe Now Offers Contemporary Saturday Evening Service

  • Friday, November 14, 2014

First Baptist Fort Oglethorpe has launched a new contemporary service for Saturday nights. Right now,  Pastor Jason Thomas is teaching through the Life Of David series each Saturday evening at 6 p.m.

The church offers a live worship band, coffee shop and the service is in it’s Family Life Center. This week Thomas is teaching from 1 Samuel 24 on “David: The Gift of Mercy.”

“Many people today are busy, some work on Sundays and this gives them a place to connect in a relaxing atmosphere,” said church officials.

The service is called “Ignite” and is offered to the community as contemporary, casual and comfortable, with childcare is provided.

The church offers three worship experiences: Saturdas at 6 p.m. and Sundays at 10:55 a.m. and 6 p.m. Youth meet Sundays at Pal’s Car Wash in downtown Fort Oglethorpe at 5:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.

First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe is located on 2645 Lafayette Road.
