Virginia Manis
Virginia “Jenny” Ellen Manis, 65, of Hixson, died on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
Jenny was born in Knoxville, to the late Tom and Ruby Wilkerson. She was employed with IHOP in Hixson for over 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Tommy Wilkerson and Lucille Berg.
Jenny was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and enjoyed her time with her significant other, William “Bill” Hinton. She is also survived by her children, John (Sherry) Manis, Peggy Standifer and Billy (Felicia) Manis; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Woods and Wanda (Bob) Ruth; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, and again on Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
