James Edward Filyaw, 67, of Birchwood, TN, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014. James was born on January 20, 1947 to the late Bessie Lowe Filyaw and Roy Lee Filyaw Sr.
Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, James William Filyaw; and his sister, Alice Faye Filyaw.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Shadden (Curtis Helton) and Tera Ford (Richard); his brother, Roy Lee Filyaw Jr.; his sisters, Ella Ruth Lanier and Rachel Harden; his daughter-in-law, Jena Filyaw; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no public service at this time.
