Disappointing Vote On Deannexation - And Response

  • Friday, February 7, 2014

The issue I find with Chris Anderson is that he is hypocritical.  He pushes a “Vote” on rights for domestic partnerships but yet he “Voted” against allowing the residents of Ramsgate to “Vote” on whether or not to be annexed.

He was one of the votes that allowed the de-annexation to fail and let the residents of Ramsgate have the right to decide whether or not they get pulled into Ron Littlefield's idiot plan.  They de-annexation failed by one deciding vote.

He, more than anyone else on the council should have been for allowing people to have a say in how they live their lives.  Very disappointing.

Council Member Anderson felt no restraint about voting de-annexation the way he did regarding Ramsgate. You’re not in his district and are not threatened by you or your neighbors because you will not have a vote in his recall election, should it come to pass.

Anderson’s time and “sway” is short and it is logical to assume he wants to “mark” as many areas of influence before his tour-of-office ends.
