Gerald Taylor, Jr., 36, died on Sunday, March 9, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was an avid preacher of the gospel and was employed as a psychotherapist with Centerstone in the Nashville area.

Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Monique Taylor, and beloved son, Warrick Riley Taylor; father, Gerald (Angelia) Taylor Sr.; Sister, Gerice Narrissa Taylor (Tremayne); Brother, Gerhard Taylor (Whitney); mother in-law, Michelle (Calvin) Coleman, two sisters-in-law, Nicole Parris (Lee), Natora Coleman; three step-siblings, April, Angelia, and Raiford Lomax; three grandmothers, Georgia ‘Madea’ Evans, Florence Allen and Hattie Riley; eight uncles, Tom Thomas, Oscar Jackson, David Earl Allen, James Allen, Johnny Allen, Ricky Allen, Rocky Evans, and John Evans; and two aunts, Cheryl Jackson and his beloved aunt, Letitia Taylor, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at Friendship Community Church. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Garden East.

The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, March 14, and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
