The People Have Spoken

The people have spoken and defeated the Domestic Partners Benefit Ordinance.

The mayor needs to get over it and follow what the people want instead of promising to keep fighting for it. We don’t want it. If a city employee doesn’t like it, then quit your job and leave Chattanooga.

District 3 Councilman Jerry Mitchell, my district councilman, needs to keep abreast of what his constituents want instead of forcing ordinances down their throats. I told him when he voted for it that he was wrong and he said his district wanted it. Well, apparently not.

District 7 Councilman Larry Grohn stands up for what he believes and I totally agree with his opinion piece on “Vote Against the Domestic Partnership Ordinance”.

Thanks Chattanoogans for voting.
