Weekend Prep Soccer Round up

The Baylor girls soccer team played St. Benedict in the Rivals Soccer Tournament in Memphis.  Neither team would find the net, ending in a 0-0 tie. 

"It was good that we had two shut-outs in the three games,"  Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said.  "We must continue to find ways to win games that are close. We will get back to work on Monday and try to get better."

Baylor out shot St. Benedict 6-4. 

Kaleigh Clemons had four saves for Baylor. 

  Baylor is now 3-6-1 overall and 1-0 in the region. 

 

 

SATURDAY

The Baylor girls soccer team lost  6-0 to Clarksville on Saturday in the Memphis Invitational tournament.

"There is a reason that Clarksville is undefeated at this point. They have two girls that are very good. The best part, we get to turn around and put this game behind us and get ready for our game tomorrow."

Clarksville led 2-0 at the half.  Kaleigh Clemons had five saves for Baylor and Gybson Roth had four for Clarskville.  Baylor drops to 3-6 overall.  Clarskville is now 8-0-2.

 Chattanooga Christian girls tied Blackman 2-2 and beat Grace Christian 9-3 Saturday in the Cleveland soccer tournament. 

 CCS led Blackman 2-1 in the first half. 

Scoring for CCS was Hannah Henry with assist from Eden Brock at the 17th minute mark and  Olivia Hoffman unassisted in the 28th minute.

CCS led Grace Christian 5-3 at the half. 

Sara Farlett had three goals and two assists.  Hannah Henry had three goals goals and an assist.

Olivia Hoffman, Leah Hoffman and Olivia Samples also had goals for CCS.
