Albert “Preacher” Austin, Sr., 78, died on October 1, 2015 in a local hospital.
He retired from Brock Candy Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Cora Eubanks Austin; daughter, Cynthia Ann Austin; sons, Norris Lee and Kelvin Jerome Austin.
Survivors include his children, Albert Austin, Jr., Patrick Austin and Melissa Austin; sister, Ozella Garrett; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, in the chapel with Reverend Jimmie Ingram officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, Oct. 9, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
