Toddler Killed In Car Accident On Boy Scout Road Friday Morning

A toddler was killed in an auto accident Friday morning. 

Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident with injuries at the 1000 block of Boy Scout Road at approximately 11 a.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, deputies found a single car accident involving four passengers.

Three of the four passengers were transported to a local hospital and the fourth, a two-year-old boy, was pronounced dead on arrival. 

Ada Gerena, 25, was driving the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier.  The passengers were Michael Gillick, 29, and two young boys, ages one and two.   

Police said preliminary investigation reports show the vehicle was negotiating a right hand curve, ran off the right side of the road, and struck a tree.

Due to the accident, Moses Road to Hampton Woods was temporarily closed but is now reopened.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division is investigating this accident. As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details or information will be released at this time.  Any witnesses to the crash or events just prior are asked to call the Hamilton County Traffic Division at 893-3503 ext. 260.
