West Alabama Upends Lee Volleyball 3-0

University of West Alabama handed the Lee volleyball team a 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-21) defeat on Friday evening. The victory moves the Tigers to 4-3 in the Gulf South Conference and 5-9 overall. The Lady Flames slipped to 1-5 in league play and 5-6 overall.

Lee will regroup and seek a split of the road trip on Saturday afternoon when they move over to Carrollton, Ga. and face West Georgia.

Sylvia Sartori had seven kills and an ace in the defeat. Blaire Beamer followed with six kills and four blocks.
Catherine Conley chipped in with five kills and Brooke Wilsman finished with five kills and five digs. Stephanie Hernandez posted a double-double for the Lady Flames. She had 24 assists and 12 digs, while MaKayla Beebe dished off 12 assists.

West Alabama was paced by the strong net play of Morgan Ray, who had 14 kills. Yanesah Johnson tallied 11 slams, while Abby Ames registered three aces.
