The Chattanooga Chamber’s Enterprise/Gateway Council will host the sixth annual BOOST Summit this Friday, from 8-10 a.m. at Volkswagen Chattanooga’s Academy Conference Center, located at 7469 Volkswagen Drive. Breakfast and networking begin at 7:30 a.m. The community is welcome, and no RSVP is required. Breakfast is included with $10 admission.

BOOST began in 2009 as a one-day town hall-style forum, and promotes business and industry success by bringing companies and local experts together to discuss topics related to growth, business and workforce development.

The topic of this year’s BOOST Summit is “Harnessing The Vast Power of Talent, Technology and Vision to BOOST Your Business To Uncharted Levels of Success.”  This forum will feature a panel discussion presenting a fresh, current perspective on talent, technology and vision in the Chattanooga area.

Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Rick Smith will give an education update, and Garry Mac of Hospice of Chattanooga will serve as moderator.  The event will feature panelists from the education and business sectors, including:

Charlie Brock, CEO of Launch TN
Dr. Kim McCormick, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Chattanooga State Community College
Cordell Carter, CEO of Techtown Global

Enterprise/Gateway Council meetings take place the fourth Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. at Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr. Admission is $10, and a light breakfast is provided.
