Skyuka Hall Announces New Pre-Kindergarten Program

  • Thursday, March 19, 2015

Skyuka Hall, an independent K-8 school for students who thrive in a small, non-traditional environment, announces the opening of a pre-kindergarten for the school year 2015-2016. The program is open to any child who will be 4 years of age on or before August 1, 2015.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children points to several decades of research, clearly demonstrating that high quality, developmentally appropriate pre-K programs produce short- and long-term positive effects on a child’s social and cognitive development.

“Skyuka Hall has the unique opportunity to offer a Pre-K program that will reach all children, including those who may present some learning difficulties”, explains Dr. Lindy Blazek, learning specialist at Skyuka Hall. “We are committed to reaching every child and giving them a chance to grow and learn in a compassionate and nurturing environment”.

There will be two Pre-K Open Houses, March 26 and April 23, from 5-6 p.m., to allow families the opportunity to tour the facilities. Private tours may be scheduled by calling Mrs. Aleta Kinsey at 423-877-9711. Applications may be found at the website skyukahall.org.
