Sandra Lee Kitsos Glenn, 74, died at home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.

She was born July 20, 1940, in Nashville, and was of the Baptist faith.

Sandra was a  graduate of Hillsboro High School of Nashville, and attended George Peabody College for Teachers. She was a former member of the  Junior Kosmos Woman’s Club and Valleybrook Women’s 9 Hole Group. Sandra was an avid reader, wild bird enthusiast, and loved singing and playing her piano. Sandra had a love of sports, particularly tennis and golf.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Jennie R. and Hoyte J. Kitsos

Sandra is survived by her husband, James Kay Glenn of Hixson; son, Richard “Rick” (Belinda) Glenn of Chattanooga; two daughters, Katie Glenn of Chattanooga, and Beth Glenn of Hixson; grandchildren, Matthew Glenn of Chattanooga, Jessica Glenn (Rick) Sell of Jacksonville, FL, Allison Glenn (Ray) Corona of Hixson, and Chelsey Stephens of Soddy Daisy, Rose Brown and Lissa Jolley of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Elly Frost and Joey Lewis; beloved cousin, Amy Rutherford and son, Granville Rutherford.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, from 4-8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. Bill Owens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sandra’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children or to Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga.  

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
