Kathy Irene Scealf "Nanny" died on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the age of 60.
Kathy was born on Sept. 13, 1954 in Chattanooga. She was a loving, attentive and devoted mother, grandmother and sister. Kathy had never met a stranger and all the neighborhood kids referred to her as "Nanny."
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; Charles L. Scealf of Chattanooga, Lois S. Giles of Flinstone, GA.
Kathy is survived by her son; Joey L. Scealf of Decatur, TN, grandsons; Joseph Scealf, Joshua Scealf, both of Decatur, TN, brothers; Rocky Scealf of Walhalla, SC & Kevin Scealf of Flinstone, GA, along with several extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Reverend Sam Whited officiating. Burial will follow at Scealf Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. Friday and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
