Mary Catherine Morrison Gang, 84, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she was a charter member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she served as organist in the music ministry for many years.
She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Chattanooga and was a member of the retiree Lunch Bunch.
Mrs. Gang was a graduate of OLPH Catholic School, Notre Dame High School and the University of Chattanooga where she was a member of Chi Omega. She held memberships with the Ave Maria Circle, Chief John Ross Chapter of the daughters of the American Revolution, MacDowell Music Club where she was a past board member, Chattanooga Music Club and Chattanooga Community Orchestra.
She was also a recorded artist with Jay Craven in Duo Con Brio.
Mrs. Gang was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Rae Morrison and brother, Kiely, J.P. and J. Roy Morrison.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Mark Gang, Jr.; daughters, Cathy (Ken) Raveling and Susan E. Rowe and fiancé Dan Mason; son, Mark Gang III; brother, Ray M. Morrison; grandsons, Aaron Rowe and Sterling Raveling; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 3, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Reverend James Vick officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ladies Charities of Chattanooga or the MacDowell Music Club Scholarship Fund.
