Ooltewah Favorite To Win Region 4-5A

Ooltewah's Owls have been picked to win the Region 3-5A high school football championship in Murphy Fair's Tennessee High School Football magazine.

Coach Mac Bryan, in his third year as the Owls' head coach, returns four starters on offense and eight on defense, including Rashuan Freeman, the 2014 District 5-AAA Defensive Back of the Year. According to Murphy Fair, Freeman is a major college talent, along with teammates Jeremiah Jackson and Nic Putman.

Ooltewah advanced to the state playoffs last year, losing to Rhea County in the second round.

Rhea County is picked to finish second behind Cleveland, followed by Clevealnd and Walker Valley.
