Charles Orville White, 87, of Chattanooga, died at his residence on Sunday, August 30, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer.
He was a native of Tennessee and moved to Chattanooga in 1970. Charles was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II. He was a retired electrician.
Those who preceded him in death include his wife, Joyce White as well as his first wife, Johnnie May White, his parents, Charlie and Johnnie (Hayes) White, four children, three sisters, two brothers.
He will be greatly missed by those who survive him, including his sons, Jimmy White and Richard Walker; daughters, Faye Walker (Husband, Wayne), Jan Sims (Husband, Gene), and Kimberly Bartlett (husband, Glen); sisters, Margaret Ramey and Bertha Fulfer; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 5-8 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with interment at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
