Woman Shot In The Hip Outside Hixson Walmart

A woman was shot in the hip outside the Hixson Walmart late Monday night.

Chattanooga Police Officers were dispatched to a person shot call at 5764 Highway 153. Upon arrival officers found a single victim, Mercedes Stalyon, suffering from a gunshot wound to her right hip. 

The gunshot wound was sustained during a dispute between her and a man.

·         Ms. Stalyon, who is 20, was immediately transported to a local hospital by EMS for treatment.

·         Her injury was non-life threatening.

·         No suspect information is available at this time.
