Darrell L. Shoemaker, 73, of Cohutta, Georgia, died on Wednesday September 2, 2015 at his home.
Darrell was born March 4, 1942 in Coleman, AL to the late Newton John and Jewell “Judy” Shoemaker;and was also preceded in death by his wife, Olia Ruth Hester Shoemaker.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Rena Plumly of North Carolina and Darrell Anthony Shoemaker of Dalton, GA; daughters, Dana Shoemaker of Dalton, GA, Deanna Plumly of North Carolina and Michelle Hester of Dalton, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Tye and Ann Groves of Cohutta, GA and Michael Shoemaker of South Carolina; sister, Sonya Cooley of Sugar Valley, GA; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
At his request he will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
