Columbia, KY. – The first day of the two-day, 36-hole Blue Raider Classic finished with the hosts from Lindsey-Wilson on top of second place Dalton State by seven strokes.
The Blue Raiders finished Friday’s first round with a ten under par 274. Dalton State was three under par 281. The course is The Pines at Lindsey Wilson. It is a par 71 that plays at 6,650 yards.
Mount Vernon Nazarene and a Lindsey Wilson B-Team are tied for third with a 282.
Union College (KY) has a 285. The remainder of the 15-team field has Millsaps College (286), Indiana Wesleyan (287), Campbellsville (KY) (289), Bryan College (292), Huntington University (303), West Virginia Tech (304), Bryan College B-Team (305), Lindsey Wilson C-Team (308) and Brescia College (309).
The Roadrunners are led by defending NAIA Individual Champion Sean Elliot seven under par 64. Dalton State’s Chase Jones and Levi Nix are tied for 21st with a one over par 72 each. Dalton Johnson (73) is tied for 29th and freshman Adam Morris (74) is tied for 40th.
The tournament concludes on Saturday.
