Chattanooga Man, 31, Shot Inside His Home When Gunfire "Erupts" Outside

A Chattanooga man was shot inside his home early Friday morning when gunfire erupted outside.

Chattanooga Police responded to the 6300 block of Walden Ave. on reports of shots fired. Once on the scene police located a single victim suffering from what appeared to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower left  leg.

Hamilton County EMS responded to render aid to the victim, Eric Lamont Cal.

He was transported non-emergency to a local hospital for additional treatment.

No suspect information was provided by the victim or additional occupants of the residence.

Chattanooga Police Crime Scene Investigators collected evidence at the scene.

Chattanooga Police Violent Crime Investigators were following all actionable leads.
