FSG Bank, a division of Atlantic Capital Bank, NA presented Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy with a $10,000 donation. Officials said the funds will help support ongoing teacher training at the school. Dr. Elaine Swafford, executive director of CGLA says the donation will have a direct impact on the growth and development of the talented faculty at CGLA.

"Overseeing a STEM school for girls often causes me to think about things from a different perspective. In this case, professional development to the teacher is like water is to the plant.
An ongoing absorption of new and innovated practices is paramount to the growth of our faculty and, ultimately, our students. The funds invested by FSG Bank to support our continuous learning initiative at CGLA is essential to our success as a school. We are thankful that FSG has recognized this importance as characterized by their generous investment.”

According to FSG Bank, the donation is part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to invest in the communities in which it serves, by directing meaningful resources to help local organizations with a laser focus on one or more of their pillars of giving:  education, job creation and affordable housing.
