Down 8-2, the Lookouts (3-5) scored nine unanswered runs to defeat the Jackson Generals (4-3) by a score of 11-8 in front of a crowd of 3,422 at AT&T Field.

Facing a six run deficit in the sixth inning the game seemed out of reach for Chattanooga, but the team had other ideas.

Designated hitter Mitch Garver led off the sixth with a single. The Lookouts proceeded to load the bases with a walk and a hit by pitch. Generals pitcher Steve Landazuri then hit his second consecutive batter and issued his second walk to bring home two runs for the home team. After a pitching change the Lookouts capitalized on the miscues with a Zach Granite RBI and two RBI singles.

Now only down one run the Lookouts continued to roll in the seventh.

With one on and two outs, Generals' pitcher Ryne Harper hit the next two batters to once again load the bases. The seventh inning appeared to be over on the next play, but a missed catch error by DJ Peterson brought home two runners to give the Lookouts the lead. During the next at-bat Zack Granite raced towards the plate to successfully steal home and expand the Lookouts lead to two.

The team's final run of the day came later in the inning on a Garver RBI single. The Lookouts finished the game being hit by four pitches which tied the team's single game record.

With the comeback complete the team's bullpen shutdown Jackson's offense. Corey Williams, Jake Reed (1-1) and J.T. Chargois (S, 1) combined for five shutout innings.

Tomorrow BirdZerk! comes to town for game four of the Lookouts first home series of the year. Friday's game is also Fireworks Friday at AT&T Field. Game time tomorrow is set for 7:15 with gates opening at 6:00.
