4th Annual Wine N ‘Shine Set For May 13 At The Peyton At Stratton Hall

  • Tuesday, April 26, 2016

The Downtown Sertoma Club of Chattanooga will host its Fourth Annual Wine N ‘Shine event on Friday, May 13 from 7-10 p.m. at The Peyton at Stratton Hall.

Guests will have the chance to try a variety of Moonshine provided by Athens Distributing, several wines crafted by Georgia Winery, sangria, a buffet provided by Events with Taste, and local brews from Big River Grille & Brewing Works.  Guests will be entertained by the local band Lou Wamp & Bluetastic Fangrass with classic old time and bluesy bluegrass music.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Speech & Hearing Center and Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block.

"The Speech and Hearing Center is Chattanooga’s only non-profit center of its kind, serving both children and adults who are speech, language and/or hearing impaired.  The Speech & Hearing Center uses support from organizations and individuals to provide much-needed diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals, regardless of their ability to fully afford services.

"Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block is an award winning educational program whose mission is to educate children, using the power of puppetry, on social concerns and differences, giving them the skills to stay safe and healthy.  The program uses child size puppets to educate children on such topics as child abuse awareness, bullying, personal safety, accepting differences, gangs, violence, problem solving, self-esteem among other sensitive issues. Chattanooga's Kids on the Block is a licensed child abuse prevention agency in the state of Tennessee and was named 2012 Non Profit of the Year," officials said.

“Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block and The Speech and Hearing Center really care about the individuals they serve, and it shows day in and day out through the excellent service they provide to each individual,” said Nick Hughes, president of the Downtown Sertoma Club.  “We look forward to another successful Wine n ‘Shine this year, and invite the whole community to come out and celebrate these wonderful organizations with us.”

Tickets to the event are $40 per person in advance and $50 at the door.  For tickets and information, visit wineandshinesertoma.com or sertomachattanooga.com and get event updates by following Downtown Sertoma Club’s Wine N ’Shine 2016 on Facebook.
