Jacob Huesman, the three-time Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team, has been invited to try out for the Pittsburgh Steelers at next week's rookie mini-camp.

"It is not a contract, but it is a tryout and a chance for me to go prove myself," stated Huesman following the conclusion of the NFL Draft on Saturday night.  "I get the weekend to go up there and try to become a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers."

Huesman leaves Thursday for his tryout.

As a Moc, Huesman was the first in league history to win three offensive player of the year honors from the SoCon coaches.

He graduated with 12,248 yards of total offense, third all-time in the SoCon and No.
15 in FCS history.  He is one of only four in FCS history with 40 rushing (43) and 40 passing TDs (64), posting school-records with 4,051 rushing yards and 8,197 passing yards.

Huesman is trying to join former Mocs Buster Skrine ('10 – Jets), Chris Lewis-Harris ('11 – Bengals) and Davis Tull ('14 – Saints) who are all currently on an NFL roster.
