Thelma Lamb
Thelma Lamb (née Lynch) died peacefully in Redwood City, California on April 28, 2016 at the age of 90.
Thelma was born on January 25, 1926 in Sherwood, Tn., to John D. and Susie Willis Lynch. She graduated from Franklin County High School in Winchester, worked as a bookkeeper in Chattanooga and then joined the Navy in 1949. She married Ellis Lamb in 1952 after meeting him in Washington, D.C. while both serving in the Navy. Thelma and Ellis lived many places including San Diego, San Francisco, Virginia Beach, Northern Virginia, Atlanta and Hilton Head, S.C. over 63 years together.
Thelma was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an incredible cook, enjoyed spending time with family and travelling on cruises throughout the world.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Anna Clara, Charlsie, Buddy, Dick, and Ralph.
She is survived by her husband, Ellis, her son, Eric of Atherton, CA and daughter, Lisa Nelson of Beaufort, SC. She has five grandchildren, Joshua, Kevin, Spencer, Megan and Rebecca. Thelma is survived by her sisters, Betty Sue Moore of Huntsville and Jean Abney of Chattanooga.

A visitation will be at 1 p.m. and a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, at Heritage Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel with Reverend Dick Fisher officiating. All are welcome to attend the service, and a reception will follow to celebrate Thelma’s life.
A private graveside service for family will be held on Monday, May 9, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
