Dragon Boat Festival Raises Money For Children's Hospital

  • Monday, May 9, 2016

This year marked a decade of dragon boat racing in Chattanooga.  Teams raced in authentic 46-foot long Chinese boats at the Chickamauga Dam.  This year’s first place winner was BlueCross BlueShield – Liquid Awesome Blue.  CBL & Associates - Motley Crew took second place with ContinuCare – Row Baby Row not too far behind in third place.   This year’s fundraising champion was also CBL & Associates – Motley Crew.

The money raised helps the children who are treated by the many medical professionals at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.  The funds raised during the Dragon Boat Festival will stay local and go towards the Children’s Hospital Believe Campaign to build a new Outpatient Center for pediatric patients.

The event was made possible by Erlanger's partners, including NACS, Mesa Associates, Mauldin and Jenkins, Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, Chattanooga Times Free Press, First Tennessee Bank, Patten and Patten, Country Inn and Suites and Erwin Marine.
