Skyla Wilson has been reunited with her grandmother, Clara Hanacek, in Grand Junction, Co. Sheriff Eric Watson and Clara Hanacek traveled to Grand Junction, early Thursday morning.
Endangered Bradley County child Skyla Wilson has been found safe in Colorado with her non-custodial father.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, a multi-agency traffic stop on I-70 by the Grand Junction Colorado Police Department, Palisade Colorado Police Department, and Mesa County Sheriff’s Office led to the recovery of the child.
She was in the company of her non-custodial father Michael Wilson.
Authorities said, "Skyla Wilson is safe and appears to be unharmed, while Michael Wilson has been taken into custody in order to be extradited back to Bradley County."
Michael Wilson has an outstanding warrant for “custodial interference” in which investigators will seek to amend the charge to “aggravated kidnapping”.
The Grand Junction Colorado Police Department is the investigative agency and has been working closely with Bradley County investigators, it was stated.
