Brice W. Lofty, 73, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016.
He was born Aug. 31, 1943 to the late Wilburn Mitchell & Addie Lee Lofty; and was also preceded in death by two brothers, William “Tommy” (Addie Belle) Lofty and Paul Eugene Lofty; two grandchildren, Matthew and Brittany.
Mr. Lofty was retired from J&M Tank Lines and Porter Warner Tank Lines. He was of Church of God faith.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Sue Holloway Lofty; three children, Mark (Cathy) Lofty, Michael (Renee) Lofty, Marla (Chris) Poe; brothers and sister, Wilburn “Tunnie” (Hazel) Lofty, Roy “Jackie” (Violet) Lofty, Linda “Cookie” Bolton and David (Janie) Lofty; sister-in-law, Faye Lofty; seven grandchildren, Jillian, Zachary, Michael, Jr., Natasha, Chelsea, Ryleigh and Tanner; six great-grandchildren, Peyton, Easton, Weston, Logan, Kaleb & Kendalyn; several nieces & nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brent Upchurch and Mike French officiating. Interment will follow at Pickett Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 12-8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11 and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12.
