Baylor Ties, Silverdale Wins In Prep Soccer

The Baylor girls soccer team scored in the first half to lead Harpeth Hall but gave up a second half goal and the game ended in a 1-1 tie in a Division II region soccer match at Baylor.  

Baylor's Rachel Smith scored off a Kamryn Bloh assist in the first half.  

Baylor lead 1-0 at half.

Harpeth Hall's Ophelia Pilkinton scored off an assist from Katy Stumb at the 64th minute to tie the game.  

It ended in 1-1.

"We created some really good chances in the first half,"  Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said.

  "But we have to finish them. We can't keep letting teams hang around when we have a chance to build the lead. Give Harpeth Hall credit for coming and playing well."

Baylor out shot Harpeth Hall 8-6.  

Baylor's Peyton Randolph and Shannon Urey combined for five saves.

Silverdale's Marissa Hamilton and Savannah Turner scored goals in their 2-1 win over Loudon on Thursday.  Kylee McDonald had Loudon's second half goal.  Silverdale led 1-0 at the half.  
 
Sam McCathem and Caily Fouts had assists for Silverdale.
Silverdale out shot Loudon 11-5.
 
Sage Johnson had four saves for Silverdale and Mikayla Davis had nine for Loudon.
 
Silverdale improves to 7-3-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the district.
