Calvin Jones
Calvin Venoy Jones, Sr., 57, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his residence.
He was an Army veteran and was formerly employed by Tennessee Temple University.
He was preceded in death by Venoy and Thelma Pope; father, Calvin Church; brother, Kenneth “Bron” Bailey; sister, Karen Bailey.
Survivors include his sons, Calvin Jones, Jr. of Detroit, MI and Romell (Lisha) Jones of Cartersville, Ga.; daughter, Nicole Madden of Nashville; two grandchildren; mother, Margaret Galloway of Chattanooga; brothers, Alvin (Elaine) Jones, Timothy (Valerie) Bailey, both of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Michael (Ruthie) Church of Chattanooga; sisters, Cheryl Church, Pastor Nina Earvin, and Angela (Vincent) Nash, all of Chattanooga; uncle, Pastor Spencer White of Las Vegas, NV; aunts, Ossie (Haywood) Smith and Ethel Pope, both of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; special friend, Katy Gary and many other friends.
Visitation is on Friday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
