The excitement continues as AC Entertainment changes the landscape of Chattanooga Live Music with event after event the past 18 months since taking the stage, ropes and controls of the Tivoli and Memorial Auditorium. That is in addition to providing top billing acts to Track 29 and Revelry Room on the Southside Choo Choo campus.  With remarkable results, AC continues to bring leading national performers to these historic venues downtown that people in the Tennessee Valley area will flock to see.

It brings sold out and near sold out events from all music genres, comedy acts, and Broadway plays.

As a house photographer, I am often asked by patrons about the seating capacity at the Tivoli and Memorial.  When you are standing at stage front and see a full house it is every performer's delight whether it is the 3,700 seats at Memorial or the 1,700 seats at the Tivoli, both of which are owned by the city and leased to the Tivoli Foundation.  AC Entertainment has brought successful management and excitement to the entertainment centers in Chattanooga.  There is less of a need to go to Nashville or Atlanta to see national performers; many are building in Chattanooga as a tour stop. The management, servers, ushers and security are focused on provided a memorable entertainment experience at these venues for the patrons.

A recent check with Tivoli staff illustrated some of the “sold out” success since May 2015. This includes Sturgill Simpson: May 18, 2015,  ‘Weird’ Al Yankovic: July 16, 2016,  Black Jacket Symphony: Sept. 26-27, 2016,  My Morning Jacket: Oct. 26, 2016,  Bob Dylan: Nov. 13, 2016, “Dirty Dancing” musical: Jan. 17-18, 2017,  Dave Chappelle: Feb. 4, 2017,  The Price is Right Live!:March 29, 2017, › Widespread Panic: April 20, 2016 (Memorial Auditorium).

It was a Thursday night but was no exception at the historic Tivoli as a near capacity crowd of 70’s rock fans stepped in to hear Three Dog Night.  Legendary music icons Three Dog Night celebrate their 4th decade bringing with them some of the most astonishing statistics in popular music. In the years 1969 through 1974, no other group achieved more top 10 hits, moved more records or sold more concert tickets than Three Dog Night. Now, as they mark more than 40 years on the road, Three Dog Night continues to grow their fan base and develop new ways of doing business.  They continue pursuing an extensive schedule of concerts at theatres, performing arts centers, fairs, festivals, corporate events and casinos.

Three Dog Night covets 21 Top 40 Hits that wind through the fabric of pop culture today, whether on the radio where they are heard day in and day out, in TV commercials or in major motion pictures. These include songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come)”, “Joy to the World”, “Black and White”, “Shambala” and “One” which serve to heighten our emotions and crystallize Three Dog Night's continuing popularity. More information can be found on social media.

Three Dog Night members Danny Hutton, Michael Allsup, Paul Kingery, Pat Bautz, Eddie Reasoner, and David Morgan delivered powerful vocals and solid sounds.

The opening act was Country duo Walker County.  The singers/songwriters are siblings Ivy Dene, and Sophie Dawn Walker.   “Walker County” is a duo who hail from Sulphur Springs, Indiana. The duo got their start in the summer of 2007, street performing on Nashville’s famous Broadway.  As the girls grew older, Billy, their father, thought it time to start expanding their set to include popular favorites, and their own original music. This really fit the duo well, and the girls blossomed as performers. It also opened a whole new world of performing possibilities. Ivy Dene, the lead singer, had been performing the National Anthem for years, and was now starting to sing at major sporting events in the area, such as the Indianapolis Colts games, the Hoosier Horse Fair Rodeo, local racing events, and The Hall of Fame Classic.

This duo blend a great mix of country, rock, Southern rock, pop, and soul to make for a very entertaining show. Always writing, and trying to keep up with current music, while never abandoning the classics, has been a great recipe for these ladies, and their fans.  They are currently writing for Warner Chappell Music Publishing, and working on their debut album. During this time, Martina McBride recorded their song “The Real Thing”. The track also features Buddy Miller.  Walker County is on social media Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and website athttp://www.walkercountyband.com/
