Thank You, Senate Foreign Relations Committee

  • Tuesday, October 31, 2017

It was a worthwhile experience for me last evening until after 8 p.m. to watch our Senate Foreign Relations Committee in open session with Secretary Tillerson and Secretary Mattis available to examine the pros and cons of possible revisions to our outdated Authorization For Use of Military Force in view of the uncertainty of present world circumstances that are so much before us in the news.

There is no better way to see for ourselves the outstanding knowledge and leadership qualities of all of these very special elected senators and cabinet appointees working together than to follow them when they are tasked with trying to find common ground to arrive at policies that will meet the requirements of all three bodies of government and still protect our country, our military forces, our citizens, and our partners around the world within the constraints of an unknown future.

We owe them a debt of gratitude for their willingness to serve in their individual capacities in a world that needs to find peace and stability for all of us.

Thank you for your patience and service.
