The Nutcracker Christmas Carol: A Holiday Musical Continues This Weekend

The Nutcracker Christmas Carol: A Holiday Musical, with book and lyrics by Rex Knowles and music by Mr. Knowles, Sherry Landrum, and Allan Ledford, returns this year. 

Performances will be  Dec. 1, 2, and 3. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. It will be held at the Chattanooga State Humanities Theatre.

The Nutcracker Christmas Carol has been deemed "a holiday classic", “innovative”, “a hoot”, “original and captivating” and “phenomenal” by reviewers.  The musical combines all the great Christmas stories into one hilarious, heartfelt hour.

10-Term Congresswoman Marilyn Lloyd Dies

Marilyn Lloyd, who represented the Third District in Congress for 10 terms, has died at the age of 89. Ms. Lloyd got into politics after her husband, TV anchor Mort Lloyd, was killed in a plane crash in 1974. Mort Lloyd had won the Democratic primary to oppose Rep. Lamar Baker.
