Martha Anne Vanoer, 75, of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at her home Wednesday December 13, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of the north Georgia area and a daughter of the late great Dr. LeRoy and Ida Belle Perry. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga. She was involved in the banking industry throughout her life, and in more recent years had joined the staff at Park Place restaurant in Fort Oglethorpe. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Martha enjoyed gardening in her flower beds.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years Bert Vanoer, daughters Larisa Kaye Cotten of Fort Oglethorpe, Lori Anne Boatman of Hogansville, Ga.; son Gregory Hamilton Vanoer, grandchildren Jonathan Cotten, Jason Boatman, Stephen Boatman, Ashlee Ames, Garrett Vanoer, Landon Vanoer, and Taylor Gordon; brother, Rev. Damon Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Sunday 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Damon Perry, Dr. Jim Rushing and Rev. Mark Carpenter officiating.
Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
