Dan Gamache hit a three-run triple in the third inning, leading the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 7-2 win over the Jackson Generals on Wednesday.

Lookouts starting pitcher, Felix Jorge did what the Lookouts needed him to do on the mound, as he tossed 6 2/3 innings, scattering seven hits. Jorge allowed just two runs, both of which were earned, one home run, and one walk while striking out nine.

Opposing starter Taylor Clarke (5-3) took the loss after allowing four runs and six hits over four innings.

The triple by Gamache in the third scored Edgar Corcino, LaMonte Wade, and Jonathan Rodriguez to give the Lookouts a 3-0 lead.

The Lookouts extended their lead 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning, when T.J.

White launched a homer over the left field wall off Jackson starting pitcher, Taylor Clarke. White's homer in the fourth inning was his first of the 2017 season.

The Generals managed to get on the board in the top of the fifth inning when Colin Walsh singled on a line drive to center field to score Kevin Medrano.

In the top of the sixth inning, the Generals cut the Lookouts lead in half, as Oscar Hernandez homered on a fly ball to left field. The home run by Hernandez in the sixth inning was his second of the series.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Lookouts scored three runs again, extending their lead to 6-2.

LaMonte Wade got the scoring started in the bottom of the seventh when he roped a single into right field, scoring Levi Michael. Jonathan Rodriguez followed with a fielder's choice ground ball to third baseman, Dawel Lugo. Rodriguez' fielder's choice was enough to score Edgar Corcino from third base. T.J. White delivered the final blow for the Lookouts when he sent a scorching line drive single into left field, allowing Jonathan Rodriguez to score.

Raul Fernandez pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief.

With the win, Chattanooga improved to 6-3 against Jackson this season.
