PEARL, Miss.  -- Levi Michael hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning, leading the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 4-2 win over the Mississippi Braves on Monday. The Lookouts swept the six-game series with the win and have a second-half record of 11-1.

It was another start for Stephen Gonsalves, which means that Gonsalves put together another quality start. The left-hander gave up two runs on eight hits over six innings. He struck out six without issuing a walk. He improved to 5-3 with a 2.67 ERA.

Gonsalves was replaced by Todd Van Steensel who’s season ERA dropped to 1.72 with two more scoreless frames. He struck out three. Nick Anderson recorded his first AA save with a perfect ninth which included a strikeout.

The offense did little early in the game. In fact, they had just two hits until the 7th inning when they put a three-spot on the board.  The home run by Michael scored Jonathan Rodriguez and T.J. White to give the Lookouts a 3-2 lead. Michael's three-run homer, his fourth of the season, was his second in the series..

The Lookouts tacked on another run in the eighth when Edgar Corcino hit an RBI double, driving in Alex Perez. Corcino went 2-for-5 with his 14th double.

Nick Gordon was 2-for-4. Perez went 2-for-4 with his first AA double.

What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July then taking in a Lookouts' game?
