Shari Tayloe
District Attorney General Stephen Crump announced on Monday that he has appointed Assistant District Attorney General Shari Tayloe as Deputy District Attorney General. General Tayloe is currently the Monroe County Team Leader for the office.
General Tayloe is a Cleveland native. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1993 and has been a prosecutor most of her professional career.
General Crump, in commenting on the appointment said, "General Tayloe's leadership has been instrumental in the exceptional performance of the Monroe County office and I am grateful she has agreed to accept this appointment."
Deputy District Attorney Tayloe said, "I look forward to this new challenge and welcome the opportunity to serve the residents of the Tenth Judicial District in an expanded capacity."
The Deputy District Attorney is the second in the line of command within the office. General Tayloe will oversee the administrative operations of the three district offices and will represent General Crump and the Office of the District Attorney General at official functions when General Crump cannot be present. She will help create all charging, disposition and administrative policies within the office. She also will direct the Special Prosecutions Unit.
