Bobby D. Marr, 88, went home to heaven to be with Jesus on September 19, 2017.

He was born in Cleveland TN, on November 29, 1928, to Ledford (Coalman) and Delter Kirkpatrick Marr, and lived his entire life in Cleveland. Bobby was a professional truck driver and retired at age 57 after 35 years of accident free service. Since retirement, he volunteered with the Police Public Service, and traveled extensively coast to coast along with several cruises. Bobby enjoyed helping family and friends in and sharing with those in need. He often said; “the just shall live by faith”, and “we are blessed”.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, James L. Marr.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Margaret S. Marr; son, David F. Marr (Carol); daughter, Susan M. Carroll (John); five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and nephews, and brother, Gary D. Marr (Carolyn).

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Cleveland. The family appreciate the kind and loving care provided to Bobby and Margaret at Morningside of Cleveland, and Caris Hospice.

A joint memorial service will be held for Bobby and Margaret when Margaret joins Bobby in Heaven.

Plans for that graveside memorial service will be announced for friends and family.
