Mary Sanders
Mary R. Sanders, 89, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2017.
She was a former educator with Chattanooga City Schools. She was a faithful member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She is survived by her sister, Mattie Bonds Holt, brother, Thomas B. (Tarrama) Bonds, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
The body will lie in state beginning at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 27. The Delta Sigma Theta Omega Omega Ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and the family will receive friends immediately following the ceremony.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, Sept. 28, at Westside Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Timothy Careathers officiating. Interment will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
