Laura Skillern
Laura Nell Skillern, 80, passed away on October 10, 2018.
She was a graduate of Howard High School and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Lester “Tyrone” Hill, Andre (Michelle) Sharpe, Sr., Jeffrey (Tina) Cheeks, Sr., Grover (Wanda) Cheeks, Sr., and Vaughn Hill; daughter, Freda (Tommy) Townsend; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brother, William “June Bug” Hill, Sr.; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Oct. 18, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. The service will start at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Andre Sharpe as eulogist. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
