Dalton State picked up its first win of the season and third straight in the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate on Tuesday with a team score of (-4, 860) at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tenn.
The Roadrunners won by 14 strokes over second place Tennessee Wesleyan, (+10, 874). (RV) Truett-McConnell (Ga.), (+13, 877), would finish third followed by #13 Point (Ga.), (+15, 879), in fourth. (RV) Cumberland (Tenn.), (+18, 882), rounded out the top-5.
Junior Ben Rebne led the Roadrunner contingent with a third place finish overall after a final round (+1, 73).
Freshman Zach Womack posted (-3, 75) to come home fourth in his first collegiate tournament. Sport Allmond was the third Roadrunner in the top-5 after a round of (-3, 75).
Eli Hendricks finished strong with a round of (+4, 76) to tie for 17th overall with three other athletes. The Roadrunner round of the day belonged to sophomore Matthew Cleary. Cleary would card an (E, 72) on the afternoon to shoot up the leaderboard and finish in tie for 34th.
#12 Dalton State will be back on the course on October 22 & 23 when they make the short drive down I-75 to Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville to compete in the TMU Fall Preview.
