Hazel D. (Elder) Roberts, 89, of Decatur went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Life Care Center of Athens.
She was a member of Allen Memorial Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlan J. and Lucy Geraldine (Jackson) Elder; and son-in-law, John Tallant.
She is survived by her husband of 71 and 1/2 years, Russell Franklin Roberts of Decatur; one daughter, Dianne Tallant of Knoxville; one sister, Arlene Burdett of Chattanooga; and two grandchildren, Chad Tallant of Dayton and Jonna Tallant of Knoxville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20, in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hugh Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
