Video of gunman outside store
Criminal Court Judge Don Poole said he will allow a jury to see video graphically showing the murder of a store keeper across from East Lake Courts.
Wonsik No was gunned down at the East Side Market on 4th Avenue on the morning of Sept. 7, 2015.
Deuntray Kellogg, who was 16 at the time of the slaying, is facing murder and robbery charges.
His trial is set to begin next Tuesday.
The video shows a youth put a bandana on his face before entering the store. He then encounters the 51-year-old store owner in one of the store aisles. He puts a gun to his head and leads him behind the counter.
He then forces the clerk to open the cash register and reaches in to grab the cash inside.
The youth, with his arm still around the victim's neck, then leads him back to near the front store. At that point he had him get down on his hands and knees and shot him in the back. The victim then falls onto his back and dies in a very short time.
The gunman is seen going by a car that has pulled up to the front of the store as he exits. He then walks across the street to just outside the East Lake Courts. He can be seen sitting there until he walks back over to the store.
After going to the front of the store, he runs back across the street to East Lake Courts.
Prosecutor Cameron Williams noted that a tattoo can be seen on the gunman's right hand in the section of the video in which he is by the cash register.
He said Kellogg has Trust tattooed on one hand and No One tattooed on the other.
