Janet Kay Powell Aaron, 69, of Flintstone, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She lived most of her life in the Flintstone area and was of the Baptist faith. Janet retired from Flegal Insurance Company in 2010, after 4 years, and was employed in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who will be greatly missed.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Nevella Raines Powell; daughter, Tina Aaron; and brothers, Mickey Powell and Brennan Powell.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 38 years, Johnny Aaron; children, Bucky (Kristie) Shavers and Heather (Daniel) Taylor, all of Flintstone; sister, Peggy Smith of Soddy Daisy; brothers, Donnie Powell and Ronnie Powell, both of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Charles Bray officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, and prior to the service on Saturday.
