Tennessee Ornithological Society Announces Bird Watching Event Weekend April 20-22

The local chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society invites the public to join them for the spring state meeting April 20-22 in Chattanooga's Southside. 

Novice and experienced birders of all ages are welcome, officials said. 

A Friday evening reception will be held at the pavilion of The Crash Pad boutique hostel off Main Street, as will a Sunday afternoon compilation of bird sightings. 

A Saturday evening banquet will feature keynote speaker Dr. J. Christopher Haney of Terra Mar Applied Sciences. 

A variety of field trips on Saturday and Sunday mornings will showcase local birding hotspots such as Lookout Mountain and Reflection Riding.
